The Animal Truth Project representing compassion, awareness and action to protect vulnerable animals through education, evidence and advocacy

Because change begins when somebody is willing to see.

Volunteers gently caring for rescued animals by offering comfort, fresh water and patient rehabilitation

There are animals suffering every day in places most of us never see.

Some are abandoned.

Some live on the streets.

Some are bred, transported or sold in conditions that raise serious concerns for their welfare.

And sometimes suffering continues simply because it has become so familiar that people stop noticing it.

The Animal Truth Project exists to notice.

To document.

To ask questions.

To educate.

To speak up.

And to help turn awareness into meaningful change.

DISCOVER OUR WORK

Our purpose is simple: to make animal suffering harder to ignore and easier to act upon.

We believe lasting change begins with truth - seeing what is happening, documenting it responsibly, helping people understand it and working with those who have the power to change it.

Education · Compassion · Evidence · Action

Why We Created the Animal Truth Project

Molly's Animal Sanctuary was created from love.

The Animal Truth Project was created from something I could no longer ignore.

After losing my beloved Molly, I began thinking deeply about the extraordinary love and trust animals place in human beings.
Then I discovered Galiff Street in Kolkata.
What I saw affected me profoundly.
I saw tiny puppies crowded together in confined cages.
Some appeared sick. Some were fighting amongst themselves in the limited space available to them.
Some looked extraordinarily young and vulnerable.
I saw little animals who should have been with their mothers, looking frightened and terribly sad.

During the time I observed them, I could see no water and no food available to many of the animals.

I watched animals being handled in ways that deeply concerned me, while oil, gel and powder were applied to them as they were prepared for sale.

And one question would not leave me:

Who Is Going to Speak for Them?

That question became The Animal Truth Project.

What We Do

01 - We Witness

We seek to understand what is actually happening to animals — on the streets, in markets and wherever there are serious concerns about their welfare.

02 - We Document

Where appropriate, we gather photographs, video, observations and information so that concerns can be supported by evidence rather than hearsay.

03 - We Educate

We use social media, video and public information to help people understand animal welfare, responsible ownership, adoption and the consequences of irresponsible breeding, selling and abandonment.

04 - We Advocate

Where concerns arise, our aim is to engage constructively with animal-welfare organisations, veterinary professionals, communities and the appropriate authorities to encourage meaningful change.

05 - We Act

Where an animal can safely and lawfully be rescued, Molly's Animal Sanctuary can become part of the next chapter — providing care, rehabilitation, protection and, where appropriate, responsible rehoming.

Our First Campaign

Volunteers working together to care for rescued animals while creating a welcoming sanctuary community

Galiff Street, Kolkata

There are some things that, once you have seen them, you cannot unsee.

Our work at Galiff Street began after seeing the conditions in which animals were being offered for sale.

We are working to document welfare concerns, understand what is happening, raise public awareness and encourage meaningful intervention where it is needed.

We believe lasting change must be built upon evidence, responsible advocacy and constructive action.

This is not about attacking individuals.

Our purpose is to protect animals.

We want to see an end to cruelty and unacceptable practices.

We want animal-welfare protections to be respected and properly enforced.

And we want every animal to be recognised for what it is:

A Living Being

Not Simply Something to Be Bought and Sold.

Two Parts. One Purpose.

The Animal Truth Project

See it. Document it. Speak about it. Change it.

The Animal Truth Project shines a light on animal suffering.

Through evidence, education and responsible advocacy, we work to raise awareness and encourage action.

Truth → Awareness → Action → Change

**One gives them a voice.

The other gives them somewhere safe to go.**

Rescue. Heal. Protect. Love.

Molly's Animal Sanctuary exists to provide vulnerable animals with safety, care, rehabilitation and the possibility of a better life.

Rescue → Care → Recovery → Safety

Then, where rescue is necessary and possible:

Rescue. Heal. Protect. Love.

Responsible Rehoming or Sanctuary

Rescue is not simply taking an animal away from something terrible. It is taking responsibility for what happens next.

You Can Be Their Voice

Volunteers working together to care for rescued animals while creating a welcoming sanctuary community

Not everyone can rescue an animal.

Not everyone can volunteer in Kolkata.

But everyone can do something.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Watch. Share. Ask questions.

If you witness an animal in distress, document what you see safely and report your concerns to the appropriate animal-welfare authorities.

When you follow our work, share verified information, support our campaigns, report genuine welfare concerns or help another person understand what these animals are experiencing, you help make a difference.

Every person who chooses to notice, question and speak up can help make a difference.

See it. Question it. Report it.

We are not asking people to look at suffering and feel helpless

We are asking people to look - and help us change it.

Our Promise

We will seek truth, not sensationalism.

We will document responsibly.

We will distinguish between what we witness and what we can independently verify.

We will never exploit an animal's suffering simply to create content.

We will seek constructive solutions wherever possible.

We will treat the animals whose stories we tell with dignity.

And we will never forget that behind every photograph, every video and every statistic is:

A Living Being Whose Life Matters.

This Began with Molly

One little dog taught me how completely an animal can love and trust a human being.
Molly was my little girl.
She gave love without conditions, companionship without judgement and a loyalty that asked for almost nothing in return.
After losing her, I knew that I could never replace her.

Nor would I ever want to.

But I wanted the love she gave me to continue somewhere in this world.
Molly's Animal Sanctuary became the place where frightened and vulnerable animals could find safety.
The Animal Truth Project became the voice that asks why they were suffering in the first place — and what we can do to change it.

Together, they carry one promise:

They may not have a voice.

But together, we do.

And we intend to use it.
